the Dark Side in their quest for
power. It’s revealed that Darth Vader is actually
Saddam Hussein’s long lost descendent three thousand
years into the future, so the pressure is on to defeat
them. A new Jedi disciple, played by Hrithik
Roshan, is enlisted to help Ewan McGregor
fight the evil menace. But the bad news is that Osama
has gotten the Chinese to help him build an army of
full of robots. Can the Jedi Knights overcome the Jihadi
Knights, or will Yoda have to change his name to Yasir?
The Grinch Who Stole Eid
In the town of Jalalabad, the children are unhappy.
Why? Because the Taliban have outlawed Eid celebration,
saying that wearing bangles, putting on mehndi, and
listening to music its illegal. The Mayor of Jalalabad,
otherwise known as the Grinch (Christopher Lee),
enforces draconian measures to make sure that the city
is robbed of joy on Eid morning. A band of Afghan children
put their heads together to oust the mayor and elect
their own representative, a spunky gold fish called
Freddie, making sure that democracy reigns supreme.
Look out for a cameo appearance by George W.
Bush and Nelson Mandela when
the kids make their way to the United Nations General
Session in New York. Screenplay written by Salman
Rushdie and Farrukh Dhondy.
